Powerful hospital ads urging people to wear masks and stay home
A pair of ads from St. Lukes Medical Center took social media by storm after urging people to wear masks and stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The first advertisement published by the hospital features two men; one wearing a mask and face shield and the other lying in a hospital bed, with an oxygen mask.
Both images had the same words: “I can’t breathe”.
“Wearing a face mask and a face shield is strongly recommended to protect yourself from the COVID-19 virus. A safety recall from St. Luke’s Medical Center, ”the advertisement reads.
The second advertisement for St. Lukes showed two women; one lying on a couch at home and the other lying on a hospital bed while wearing a respirator.
Similar to the first ad, both images had the same words under them: “I don’t want to be alone.”
“Stay home and minimize your exposure to the virus. A safety recall from St. Luke Medical Center, ”the hospital said in its post.
On March 26, the Department of Health reported a record 9,838 new cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is 702,856.
