Lee Health Reduces Telehealth Cost of Emergency Care

July 14, 2022 – Due to the recent increase in influenza, COVID-19, and other illnesses in Southwest Florida, Lee Health is reducing the cost of telehealth visits for urgent care through Lee TeleHealth from $49 to $20.

Lee Health is temporarily offering this service at a discounted price for community members so they can use urgent care telehealth services from the comfort of their own homes without having to travel to an emergency care location or an emergency service.

Lee TeleHealth is an on-demand medical service that connects patients directly to a physician or advanced provider and is available 24/7. All you need to use Lee TeleHealth is a smartphone, tablet or computer with a webcam.

Patients using the telehealth service can seek treatment and receive a prescription for a variety of conditions, including colds and flu, COVID-19, sinus infections, skin rashes, pink eye, sore headaches, urinary tract infections, allergies, coughs and sprains and strains. Anyone with severe symptoms of COVID-19, including difficulty breathing, should seek emergency care immediately.

Lee TeleHealth can be accessed in the following convenient ways:

Insurance will be charged for each visit and the costs will be different for each patient, depending on their level of care and insurance coverage. On average, patients with commercial insurance pay about $44 for a visit and those with Medicare pay about $27.

Patients can seek care by visiting the DispatchHealth website, www.dispatchhealth.com, no referral is necessary.
