JFK MEDICAL CENTER APPOINTS NEW MEDICAL DIRECTOR

January 12, 2022 – JFK Medical Center Main and North Camps have appointed Dr. Alex Paya as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), effective January 1, 2021. Dr. Paya joins JFK Medical Center from Palms West Hospital where he served as CMO position.

Dr. Paya joined HCA Healthcare in 2018 as CMO of the former University Hospital (now HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital) and Plantation General Hospital. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University, Cum Laude, before continuing his doctoral studies in osteopathy at Nova Southern University. Dr. Paya completed his clinical training at Shands Medical Center and is board certified in internal medicine. He also holds a Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
