August 30, 2022) – Ian D. Singer, DO, JD and Melaine Lanza, MD have joined Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician group of more than 160 physicians providing services in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Dr Singer is a primary care physician who joins Holy Cross Health from Broward Health where he was Chief Resident of Broward Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program. He was also one of 12 residents nationally who served on the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) Residents’ Council, where he served as president and was elected to 2 terms. Currently, Dr. Singer serves on the board of directors of the Florida Society of ACOFP, is an Adjunct Professor of Medical Jurisprudence at the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine. He graduated with honors with a BA in political science from the University of Miami, received his JD from St. Thomas University School of Law, and a DO from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Singer is fluent in English and Spanish. His office is located at the Holy Cross Gallagher Adult Practice at 1900 E. Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Dr Lanza joined Holy Cross Health from Cleveland Clinic Florida where she practiced Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and served on the Critical Care Committee. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine and board eligible for Critical Care Medicine. A fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Lanza earned his BSc from the University of Miami and his post-baccalaureate degree from Florida Atlantic University. She received her MD from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica and completed her residency in internal medicine at Florida Atlantic University. She completed a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Cleveland Clinic Florida. After graduating from the University of Miami, Dr. Lanza spent three years as a science teacher at Somerset Academy High School in Pembroke Pines, where she is a resident. Dr. Lanza’s office is located at 4725 N Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
