August 1, 2022 – Lee Health’s HealthPark Care and Rehabilitation Center has won the 2022 Silver AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
It is one of only 6 institutions in the state and 46 in the country to earn this honor.
This recognition is made possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Awards Program, a comprehensive organizational assessment and recognition program for long-term care providers. Each entry is reviewed and judged against a set of nationally recognized standards for achieving excellence.
All three Lee Health Skilled Nursing Sites are now recognized by the AHCA/NCAL. In addition to the HealthPark Care and Rehabilitation Center, the Skilled Nursing Unit at Gulf Coast Medical Center won a bronze award earlier this year and the Skilled Nursing Unit at Lee Memorial Hospital won the bronze award in 2021.
“We are very proud to have earned this recognition, which is a testament to the high quality care our team members provide every day,” said Dr. Larry Antonucci, President and CEO of Lee Health. “This award truly reflects the kind of skilled nursing and rehabilitation our patients can expect at HealthPark Care and Rehabilitation Center.”
Located adjacent to HealthPark Medical Center, HealthPark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 112-bed skilled nursing facility that combines the latest rehabilitation treatments with compassionate, patient-centered care.
The National Quality Awards will be presented at the 73rd AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, October 9-12, 2022.
