June 1, 2022 – Lisa Mooney, The vice president and chief commercial officer of BankUnited, a national bank headquartered in Miami Lakes, has joined the Children’s Harbor board.
Children’s Harbor is a nationally accredited non-profit agency whose mission is to help strengthen struggling families in our community while providing safe shelter and support for teens in foster care so they can grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.

As a mentor to at-risk students, Lisa’s advocacy is well known throughout the community,” said Children’s Harbor President and CEO Tiffani Dhooge. “Lisa’s passion for empowering young people who have left foster care is contagious. With over 25 years of experience in all areas of retail banking, Mooney is a financial leader dedicated to providing advice, lending solutions and exceptional customer service to its retail and corporate clients. Prior to joining BankUnited in 2010, Mooney held senior positions at regional and national institutions.
Mooney is a board member of Gateway Community Outreach and a committee member of the South Florida Regional Planning Council. She mentors high-risk students at Flanagan High School through the Women of Tomorrow program.
Mooney is a resident of Davie.
