Baptist Health Provides Medical Supplies to Relief Efforts in Ukraine

Supplies will be sent to Poland and then transported to Ukrainian medical facilities treating thousands of citizens fleeing war zones.

Jacksonville, Florida, April 13, 2022 – Baptist Health provided 200 pallets of medical supplies worth more than $500,000 to relief efforts in Ukraine organized by the Living Stream Church, several Jacksonville Rotary clubs, Rotary International District 6970 and the Global Outreach Charter Academy .

The Global Outreach Charter Academy was founded by Ukrainian immigrants in 2009, with a mission to expose Jacksonville students to diverse languages ​​and cultures. It currently serves 1,500 students in the Arlington area. The Living Stream Church congregation is made up primarily of Ukrainian nationals who immigrated to the United States seeking religious asylum two decades ago after the fall of the USSR.

Medical supplies will be sent to Ukraine and distributed to medical facilities treating Ukrainian citizens fleeing war zones.
